"This mission doesn't seem to be that tough," Elrica muttered. What's on her focus currently is this mission about tulip. She somehow felt a bit worries if anything about the client. You can say that this time, her focus is instead helping the poor old man instead of the money. However, at the same time, she does need the money. One for her sustenance, another for buying new gemstone for contract with the spirits. She wrote the missions detail down and walked toward the inn she's staying on.
"Elly, welcome back!" her contracted spirit wolf Renier greeted her. Apparently he's tablesitting for the lass. On the table is decent amount of food for onrle. As a spirit, Renier does not need to eat. The wolf spirit noticed her expression and dared to ask. "Found a nice job?"
Elrica pulled the chair and made an affirming noise while stuffing her mouth with toast. "Delivery and bandit beating. Nice enough?"
"Well in that case, I guess my cuteness is not needed, un? You're not alone, I hope?"
...Elrica's silence is enough info for her.

Elrica was ready to tell Renier that she's in fact, not alone (as there's Terra that will help her this time around). However, someone seem to overheard her situation and showed her the same paper with same details. Hmmm, so this is her companion? What a fun coincidence. Still, this girl totally felt out of her league in many ways... so, at the offered hand, she can only reluctantly shook it.
"...My name is Elrica... Friends called me Elly if I got some. Renier over here doesn't really count 'cuz he... er... she... Actually, nevermind, I'm not quite sure, but he's a family."
"Way to go, Elly," Renier commented, rolling its eyes. "Nice to meet you guys, too, Ria, Hoku. I guess if that means we're going to be allies for this mission, it's best to get acquainted first, right?"
"...Mmm, sorry I can't provide any treats for you guys. However, do join me for breakfast if you don't mind while we talk about the details."
...First strategy in socializing with fellow mage: Always provides good smoothing nourishment, which can be drinks or food, but if both already ordered, there's no need. Also if you're younger, it's not suggested. That part goes OK... Elrica recounted inside her heart. Now, second part, shows goodwill by showing that you indeed want to work together with them, so tell them your magic, but not everything.
Elrica regardless started eating the sausage after she's done with her bread. The moment her mouth is empty, she started to propose an idea toward this person... But as for her magic, if she can guess, something related to water or ice? She's not sure-- and then again, someone should start telling her to stop stereotyping people like that.
"...Alright, I'll say first, looks like there will be bandits, and it's bothering the poor old man. We had no choice but to beat 'em black and blue, right? I of course have no reason to doubt your skill if you already took this job, but I think it's better if we can at least tell about our abilities so our magic would not clash. If you don't mind, I'd like to ask yours after I tell you about mine... but I guess that can wait if you're feeling uncomfortable saying it in public..."

Mmm, the meeting goes favorably. This is good. Elrica nodded without even her noticing it, pleased at the flow. She guessed that maybe this won't be an awful trip at all. While she still felt guilty that she couldn't even pay someone for their food, guess that wasn't such a problem for the other party. Hoku's question snapped her out of her little pity fest, which Renier chuckled at amusedly. "Wow, you know, that's the first time someone want to call me with a nickname..."
...Elrica was... to say, understands what the wolf spirit meant. He's... a defect product, if going by the commentaries by the people of the village... Elrica's face darkened considerably, loathing her own hasty nature.
T'was winter. The underground village of spirit summoner, Alphidia, was cold, but there are nothing colder than the words spouted out by this old man in front of eleven years old Elrica.
"Do you understand what is this?" the village elder looked toward Renier . His usually calm and collected face twisted into disgust. "Do you understand what did you do? Do you understand what the implication of doing this sort of contract? Answer me, Isfiria!"
Isfiria Diafilda the name that only can be presented on the spirits to form the contract... in other means, the true name of Elrica. It's a name that binds. The contract of elemental spirit and their master is not one way. It's two way. Of course, the name Renier is not his real name. Renier is just a 'second name', just like her own. The naming system is, the elder gave the first name, the parents gave the second. Isfiria - Shining, Diafilda - The Wise One. These two names she utters in front of Renier. Renier who cannot do anything that is...
"Not only he could not do anything, but he also made you, one of the shining talent in our village drop down into an ore! You're once an unpolished diamond, but what did you look to me right now!? You looks like some graphite! This is all because of you being too hasty!"
Every day, every week, every month and every year... for that three years, she have to face this kind of abuse. It's true... she was being too on whim. Renier's existence was immature. The reason is simple: She did not choose any specific element, nor she thought of a proper story nor form. Neither male, neither female. The form that he took was simply because she saw a wolf looking down from the surface toward the altar of the village. That wolf, she adores it. The result was Renier.
...Renier that keep sucking her Mana like a parasite. Despite that, it's not Renier's fault. Is it a child's fault to born in this world? Even a baby will act as a parasite to the mother when they are in womb. Most of the time, are they unwanted? No, they're an awaited existence for the mother... so...
"Elder, I don't care. I've shared my true name with this child... This child, I'll definitely... I'll definitely shows you that he's not a burden, nor he's a parasite! This is my oath... and if you wish to treat me as a useless carbon, then so be it!"
She stormed out from the village elder's house, ignoring the old man's protest and indignant order for her to return back there, all while hugging the poor Renier.
"It's OK... I'll protect you..."
"Sure, you can call me that!"
Elrica snapped herself out of her moody time and looked at Ria's display of magic... A water mage afterall? Alright, maybe if their affinity is good enough, an unison raid can happened. For now, though... "...I see, well, then, there's nothing more I should show other than Renier... Well, then... Renier?" "Un, you can do it." "Okay, see you in five second. Ayltis."
Renier faded into particle of light which absorbed toward Elrica's bracelet. One one of the hole, an ore appeared. A completely standard looking ore, pure contrast with the next jewel beside it, a processed, shining amber. "...And now... Renier, Vidir."
The ore shone again momentarily and through a magic circle that formed on the table, Renier hop out from it. "I'm a Spirit Mage. Unlike the Celestial Spirit Mage, I'm an Elemental Spirit Mage. Renier is my contracted spirit."

"No," Elrica replied quickly, as if to tell her that she's fine. Her meal left unfinished, but she quickly flagged a waiter and told him to put it for take away. She also ordered several sandwich for lunch while at it. "We can go right now if you're fine with it. While it's dandy and cool to chat with you, I'm sure we still can chat in the road, and if we're truly going to take the mission, an adventurer's policy is to not make the client wait. I'm upholder of such policy. Of course, no offense on you because you're fun to talk with, but we really need to help the poor old man." she really can't say that the old man sort of remind her of her grandfather, the only one who instead treated Renier as a proper spirit he is... And that Grandpa is no more. Still, that grandpa is the reason why she often swayed when someone say the keyword 'old man in distress'.
"Well, the faster we got paid, the faster we'll get more friends, too," Reiner commented.
"Well, he's right on that one. Also, give me several moment while we wait for my meal. I need some paper and ink just in case... Come to think it, I haven't asked you about where you came from. Do you mind telling me more about your origin... and if you're well acquainted with any legends related to water?"
That was the clue for the usage of the paper and ink. It's not a must to have paper and ink, but Elrica just felt much more familiar with the two objects instead of a fountain pen. Talk about a girl from a backward culture. "Anyway, if you got anything to talk with while waiting, you can go ahead and tell Renier. He'll transmit it to me."
Elrica quickly gone up to the second floor and rummaged for her belongings. When she left her village, she's only given two gemstones. Topaz and Peridot. With Topaz, she can contract fire spirit... with Peridot, wind spirit... but somehow the clue to contract the water spirit is in front of her... A water mage.
"...Maybe I'll ask Ria to show me nearby shop that sells Aquamarine... Oh well, that can wait for another time..."
She quickly dashed downstairs with everything that she deemed as important on her small bag. Of course, her gems being her number 1 needs. It's the most expensive thing that she own!
"I'm ready. Please do guide me."

She's seem to be... not quite accepting? Hm? Did she phrase it wrong? Ah, wait, maybe it's one of that taboo code on asking about fellow adventurer? Ahh, that must be it. Some mages must be away for many difficult reason, or many complex reason. And even if they not, so someone must be probably uncomfortable because it sounds like that, huh...
"Ah, pardon, let me rephrase that. I'm not asking your full life story, but I'm instead interested on place where do you come from. Each homeland have their own stories, and that's what I'm getting at. Local stories, tales and hearsay, myth and nonsenses... I'm interested on those. You can say that I'm a writer or sort... well, not quite one. More like, I'm someone who loves to hear about tale of place of origin? Of course, if you're still uncomfortable, I understand... and... if you worry what you'll said will be recorded on paper, actually I'm not going to keep them forever... once I got my goal... I'll burn these, without fail if so you want, and in front of you if so you desire. They're simply for me and me alone, a reference if you may say... For my masterpiece, that is."
Elrica grabbed the food from the waiter and followed Ria.
"It sorta made me wonder why he picked there of all place... I mean, OK, it's seem to be for distribution purpose, but... I wonder if there's someone that can take care of him, you know... or if he got some successor or sort..."
Ten minutes later, they arrived at their destination. The florist, Old Man Ben is quite... if she can describe it, a gentleman. While so far Elrica never once smiled, the moment he gave her flower crown, the younger girl giggled like a little girl. "Ah, grandpa, you're such a smooth talker..."
Her expression loosened and there was a longing stare on her eyes, slightly melancholic. "Thank you very much for the present. I never... I never saw this many of flowers. I'll definitely treasure it. Oh and don't worry, I'm sure we can take care of ourselves. We girls are pretty strong afterall! It's no longer the age where mages need to be protected by guards!"
...Perhaps it's due to the old man, or perhaps she just want to shook off his worry, but Elrica was for the first time, finally acted like a girl of her age.

"I'm not a writer, not at all," Elrica answered, running a hand on her hair, an old habit when she's a bit nervous. "...But I guess if you're interested, you'd have to wait until we're more acquainted... Sooner or later, it's inevitable that you'll understand why I'm looking for tales. Afterall, you can say... it's sort of my trade..."
Although, at Ria's request, Elrica smiled rather self loathingly. "...Let's say... it happened when a girl who live inside an underground village wanted to be independent from her parents."
As she walked, Elrica's voice was rather devoid of emotion. "The girl hated her parents... they're the type that she considered lazy, although they're just very patient... she also considers them unchanging and stubborn... more like, they doesn't want to improve and too afraid of the outside world. The girl longs the place where she could broaden her horizon, to spread her name, not as a dirt, but as a jewel... everyone made fun of her. Why would someone left that place? It's not that bad or anything, plus, what can an eleven years old girl do?
...But, there's only one old man who believed in her... Her grandfather. The grandfather was an ex adventurer mage who lost leg and forced to settle down. That one grandpa, was the only one who believed that she could do something. Perhaps it was because of her being hasty, perhaps it's because she wanted to answer her grandpa's feeling... But she immediately contracted herself with spirit. The rest is unfortunately, was not something to tell about at the moment. If you're closer to me, perhaps I'd tell... but I'll just tell you, it wasn't a nice story at all. If anything, perhaps you'd feel... sickened?"
Agreeing to Ria's proposal, Elrica mounted the cart, hoping that she wouldn't add too many weight on the cart for the poor boars to pull.
"...By the way, about you and Ben... you'd probably look like a granddaughter looking at grandfather you know?" Renier commented. She snorted. "No way, he and I are practically strangers. I just meet him just now, but... he just felt like grandpa. So I guess the image overlapped a bit... I'm guilty for that."

"The difference is I guess you misunderstood," Elrica answered, chuckling slightly. "I'm not that awful of a girl that would ask someone their life story immediately. Like I said, I collect stories... stories that more to legend, myth and hearsay from a region or how a region is created. How a village created, or of a local story of a hero... that's what I collect. While I view personal story as a very good bonding material which I enjoy, like your story about Hoku that I found very cute; the story about those kind of legends are more to my goal, you see. My obsession to them are simply because they lead me to that goal. Seeing now that you're a bit motion sick... I'll probably just tell you one of such story then..."
Her hand moved slightly toward the amber on her bracelet, stroking it. Elrica slowly tries to formulate how to tell her story... while at the same time wondering if the motion sickness is related to that magic she knew. Of course, the chance of it being that is pretty slim. Maybe she's just easily got motion sick. "...Our village is located somewhere far, far away from here, where the sun does not quite reach and the clouds nearly always covering it. There exist a village of summoners... us. Our entire clan practices the very same magic... There was a story how it came to be. From the saying of the elder: There was once ten men and women prosecuted because their magic, being one that breached law of creation. They gone against God's will by playing Gods themselves. However, what was the meaning of going against the God? Those people did not believe that the slightest. If the God gave human the power to create, why would they rob the human from their own power? It does not make sense. From town to town, they traveled, looking for the right place for them to belong... but none of the village dared to shelter them, afraid that the kingdom would destroy them for supporting heretics.
...One by one, their number dwindled. Despite their number also increase when they formed family, but the original ten of course aren't getting younger. Some died because of illness, some because of beast, some gave up on living, some just decided to turn back and beg for forgiveness and mercy... All until there are just four of them.
One man said... 'hey, let's just give up...' Another said 'we can't. We've gone this far...' 'But what about our children and grandchildren!? Are you going to let them suffer the same fate as us?' 'We have no choice but to go forward... or else we're making our friends' sacrifice gone vain!'
And so, the discussion gone that way... We believed those that later parted way with us soon become Celestial Spirit Mage... while us... The descendant of those who came to that village... become Elemental Spirit Mage. Of course, this is just a tale, so the truth might be very far off. However, as of how we found a village... Well... Our ancestor found land, desolate of anything. On top of that mountain was a dying rock dragon. Our ancestor was ready to be killed... 'ah, this is the end of the road' they thought.
'Ye small ones from land far away, what made came to this desolate one?' yet the dragon asked kindly. The ancestor answered truthfully of their prosecution, but the dragon thus spoke 'Ye poor souls away from your herd, ye art not hunted but merely prosecuted. Why dost thee not grovel in face of thine liege and beg for mercy? Thee art not like me, a hunted one. No matter where I go, I will always be hunted'. Perhaps it was because some dragon slayers that wanted to be stronger and tries to slay the dragon. Despite so, to our ancestor who did not wish any harm, it gently tries to make us change our way.
...of course, our elders are very headstrong. They still did not wish to waste the sacrifice of their perished friends. The dragon, having gave up, told them to 'suit themselves'. Soon, we built our village there, beside the dragon. The dragon merely watched from far away of how our civilization came to be. Curiosity overtook him and he helped in building the foundation... it become a full on mutualistic relationship. The kind dragon that does not devour human and the ancestor that helped by the dragon... but, happy things are meant to end eventually.
The dragon slayers, prepared to slay the dragon came to the village and wreak havoc. The dragon who minded the ancestor's safety was forced to fight a defensive battle. Despite with everyone helping, at that point, we're nothing but a weak mages with incomplete magic. So the result was obvious. We're severely outmatched. People killed left and right, until the dragon sacrificed himself for us by pulling the ancestor toward the underground and covered the entrance with his corpse...
...Well, all but one girl. That one girl was called Illyasha... Angered by such brutality and the death of their benefactor, Illyasha thus sung a song..."
Elrica stopped momentarily to caught a breath. She opened them soon after, only to sing a verse.
"Erio torrus fel esti... (Echoes with the color of earth...)"
As if reacting toward the song, the cut amber on her bracelet shone softly.
"...the song, carrying wish to form a pact, binded the soul from the dragon's corpse with the girl, with the catalyst of [Amber]... Illyasha resurrected the dragon, Terrabis, into the Earth Elemental Spirit [Terra]. With Terra on her side, she managed to shoo off the even the empowered dragon slayer. Illyasha then spreads the method of Spirit Summoning to her descendant... Now you see the connection?"

"Well...I understand this might be selfish, because apparently we're on different side of view... I might sounds very mean to say this, but... it's not like I don't want to give them a chance. Plus, from my tale it almost like my parents abandoned me, huh? But no, that wasn't the case. My parents was just... very against of me spreading my horizon. They're very old minded, see... They're afraid their only daughter would somehow got lost out there... They also doesn't believe I can do anything myself. You can say I'm pampered to no end. But I can't help it... it's who I am, and I'm not like my parents... also, I can't return there... not until I prove them that I... I'm just like a graphite. Give me pressure, and I'll become a diamond soon enough. Also, Ria... I believe we're not dictated entirely by our past. While past is important, further action is what defines that you're... you. That's why I put my past behind, to face the world and prove that I'm not just a little girl...
...And also, if I return now, I'll only face ridicule even worst than before. That's why I need to make a name for myself, a name that enough to even make them drop their jaw... because, I'll be the second coming of the grand summoner!"
Still, Ria's sudden change of demeanor made her quickly changed from her excited mood into her calm and collected mood. There's no helping it, huh... They're here.
I'm being severely underestimated... she grumbled inside her heart. But that is fine. She waited for the right moment, the moment Ria already launched her attack. As she expected, she's a dragon slayer, afterall? The goon to the left, she said? Doesn't matter. Elrica touched her gem once more.
"...I beseech the protector of earth, come and show your wrath!"
She have no need to sing the pact in this kind of situation. The time is not now. Behind the bandit that already knocked back, rock formation appeared and took form of one armed dragon golem. The roar it let out almost equal to a real dragon.
"Terra!" Elrica ran toward her summoned beast, who struck the bandit with a lariat. Despite he could block it, being the strike from the golem dragon is not that strong, Elrica herself was ready and sent a kick at his exposed back. With that being done, she stomped her feet on the ground to help Ria. Sharp spike made of earth rose on one of the thug's feet. That gotta be hurt if he's not dodging...
Elly <TERRA> (poor bandit got Terra's lariat coming on his chest and Elly's kick on the back... will he dodge?) MP: 4/5 Used Earth Spike at one of the bandit on Ria's side.

"Don't be too cocky!"
Elrica missed the fact that there's someone with similar magic with her. The strike that was supposed to go in was quickly blocked by Terra, but---
"How naive little girl! Do you have the luxury to think about your friend at all? Looks like you're still naive!"
On the bandit's hand is... the key of Ursa Minor, Polaris. Pink mecha bear manifested, big enough to be as big as Terra. What the... this is certainly not something that she would thought someone would have! Not helping that despite being surprised, the fire mage that she attacked immediately retaliated. He sent a fire blast at Elrica, forcing her to do a barrel roll. With no time to spare, she quickly stomped her feet to the ground again, but the mage anticipated it. He stepped backward.
"Same attack won't work twice, little girl!"
"Argh!"
"RIA, ELLY IS OVERWHELMED!!" Reniel cried out.
Was she being too hasty afterall!? Despite his best effort and summoning another arm, Terra still had difficulty to counter Polaris. No choice, she have to sever the weakest link of them all! Elrica broke into full sprint to Terra's back. The fire mage, seem to anticipated her strategy was quick on the chase.
"OH NO YOU DON'T!"
"YES I WILL!"
Ignoring the blazing flame and the chance to get burnt, she braved herself and used Terra as propeller, then steps at Polaris' head. The bear, annoyed at her action, tried to swat her away... but it was what Terra is waiting for. With the deadlock broken by the bear, he sent double knuckle aimed on his chest.
"GOT YOU!!"
Using the now toppling backward bear as a stepping stone, Elrica tried to aim a vertical strike with her umbrella toward the celestial spirit bandit, but--
Metallic gleam did not pass through Reniel's vision, even if it just flashed momentarily. With all his might, he tackled Elrica to save her from being impaled by the knife. The bandit let out an irritated 'tch' and tried to chase Elrica who tumbled to the left. While she's safe now, she saw her sternum area slightly bleeding from the cut delivered by the bandit who noticed that Reniel tried to save her.
"ELLY, GET UP!!" Renier cried out.
You doesn't even need to tell me twice! Elrica quickly closed her umbrella and start a defensive fight against the Celestial Spirit Bandit. He's stronger than her, but her reach is longer!
ELLY <TERRA> MP: 3/5 Used another earth spike... in vain.

Two against two again. She admitted that she have no idea that the other one was a celestial spirit mage was the reason of her miscalculation. Terra was busy pounding down his fists on the celestial spirit, which now toppled over and tried to wave off the dragon off him. However, relentless fist of the earth spirit does not gave a room for him to move. Not even to boost himself. Elrica know that some kind of scolding would come later, but that's not important.
"HAAAA!!"
She dashed forward, making her umbrella as makeshift jousting lance. The bandit apparently waited for this and side stepped to instead slash at her again, but...
"WHO'S THE NAIVE ONE NOW!?" she quickly stomped her feet hard on the ground diagonally, sending wave of earth spikes at the celestial spirit mage. It was too late for him to dodge it easily. His posture broke, nearly falling backward... and knowing a male's weakness, Elrica delivered a merciless kick to his nether region, enough to make him faint.
"...Fuu, that's for ruining my favorite dress, savage," she muttered. With the mage down, the spirit also gone down. But there's no time. She need to coordinate again. It's now two against three.
"Terra! With me!"
The bellow of the dragon was an answer she needed. She could feel her mana decreasing, but now is not the time. She broke into full sprint toward the fire mage and started an offensive battle. With his defense down, he was quite frantic in trying to defend against the duo of spirit and the master. One hit from the golem can probably made him unconscious afterall. Losing his cool, he's totally sending fire at random direction, but... Elly was waiting this. Using Terra as a shield, she managed to get to his blind spot and...
"Take a nap!"
Elrica punched his chin as strong as she could, which made him fell down. Now how does Ria fare? She'll probably leave it to her. It become a 1 vs 1 afterall. The power struggle won't be so bad.
ELLY <TERRA> MP: 2/5 Used another Earth Spike and is tired...

She was to say, not quite happy with how she fared, but at least she had enough for the day to see how bad she is at real combat. Well, that is to be expected. She's a chick that just recently left the nest afterall. She chewed more than she could because she thought it's just a common, non-mage bandit. How naive of her. To fight a celestial spirit mage on the get go... that was something, though... As she expected, she's no good afterall?
Elrica obediently took off her camisole and the underwear beneath, enough to show the bleeding part. It's not a deep cut at all, but definitely looks hurt still. Despite so... her focus at the moment isn't her wound. She hang her head down in shame.
"I'm sorry... I was naive. I thought everyone would probably have better live in the city... never I thought bunch of bandits could be mages at it... and even if they're mages, I was naive to not consider the fact one of them have similar spell to mine."
Many would perhaps say it can't be helped, but at the same time, it's true that she chewed off more than she could. She was too sure of the power of Terra, her spirit. She was too sure that they would win, because it was 1 against 2. How naive of her for not thinking that their attack would win just like that. Had it not because of Terra blocking the fist, she would be probably done for, or left with several broken ribs. The prospect made her shudder. She was naive beyond belief...
"...I need... to contract another spirit..." she muttered.

"Ah, let it be, a scar or two is given if you're a mage. No one would found it as a demerit even if they want to marry me in the far future, so being a bride is still going to be a thing for me," she commented lightly. Well, tying these guys might be hard, so she ordered Terra to lift them to the side of the road and start binding them with the rope from Ria. Rope... the fire mage got the fire, though... ah, right, let's just do this...
"Terra, bind his hand and legs with your clay then harden it. We should probably call authority later... and..."
She took the spirit key from the bandit. "Maybe we can sell this or..." she handed it to Ria "gave it to someone that need it."
As they worked, Elrica silently listened to her, nodding now and then, but more importantly, she felt frustrated. Everything about that is true, but... at the same time, her judgement was the one that made her almost got caught in a fatal situation. Reniel only stayed silent while Terra looks a bit flustered looking at someone scolding his master earnestly.
"...No, I still got much to learn... and more spirit to contract. I guess... if you're truly going to invite me to your guild, then more or less you'll understand the nature of magic sooner or later... so, I'll tell you. I told you about that story, right? You might probably think that I'm contracted with the very same spirit, and wouldn't that sounds awesome? But no. All of the magi in our village literally contracted themselves with [Terra]... because the nature of our magic is not just mere pact, but to create the spirit themselves."
She took out something from her pocket and showed it to Ria. It's a Peridot. "...Our magic crafted spirits not from corpses or anything like that, but story. We need proper image, proper form, proper background to form the spirit or they would become a swirling mass of nothing. Then, to form them, we need to be in place with very high concentration of Ethernano to form them... as the third requirement, an element corresponding to the spirit must present. Terra was made from the story of [Terra and Illyasha] which I base his form, contract gem Amber, and created in altar in my village... That's why I told you I want to hear any of such myths... because it might help in in forming another spirit pact.
...I made a mistake today, and if your guild can give me the needed battle experience, then I'll join it without further question. Please, help me."

"Well, then, I won't pull any punches back when that time came..." she remarked mischievously. "I expect you to uphold your end of bargain, Guildmaster. But at the moment, if you really want to help me, I guess you can help me collect Aquamarine. Of course, it cannot be simple Aquamarine..." she cannot say to Ria that during the way to the Old Ben's shop back then, she was looking around for jewel store and checking prices, wincing at the tag and muttering "highway robbery" almost thirty six times, with the thirty sixth stopped midway when she noticed old man Ben's store is close enough.
Also, the minotaur's tale was quite great... had she not contracted with Terra, she'd probably make one based of a minotaur, but... Terra was already more than enough. Elrica ran a hand over her hair.
"...I guess I'll contract the spirit Aqua afterall... I need to find more materials... Ria's spells are good enough as reference, but ultimately... Dragon slayer and water spirit doesn't quite match to me... Torrential water is good and all, but ultimately, what is the proper story to have...? maybe something else...?" she muttered, low enough to only be heard by Renier who sat on her shoulder.
Returning to old man Ben was uneventful, but at the same time, Elrica let Ria do all the talk and stayed silent. She should probably ask Ria to let it scar as a reminder... her wound, that is... but she guess marriage prospect won't be coming easily like that.
