[attr="class","staffposttitle"]MAGIC SHOP
[attr="class","staffpost"]Whenever you want to buy something from the Magic Shop, you will make a thread within the Improvements board detailing exactly what you want to buy. Then, you'll post in this thread with a link to your purchase thread. If there are any issues, staff will tell you to make edits. After every staff review, if you need to make edits, you will need to reply back to this topic with a link to your purchase thread so that staff know that you still need to get approved.
From weapons, armor to magical rings and trinkets, the Magic Shop has you covered. Basic items are FREE (e.g: magic scooter, magical reading glasses, lacrima that can change your hair color/style, etc). Items that do offer an advantage to your character (other than basic weapons) have a price tagged on them. Basic weapons (ones that do not have a specific magical effect on them) such as a sword, a gun that shoots standard, magical bullets or a spear have a flat cost. The item’s cost is dependent on its rank. Magical items are able to have ONE magical effect associated with them (such as a stone that shoots out a beam of ice or a suit of armor that allows its wearer to be more resistant to fire spells). You can only purchase and use magical items equal to or lower your rank (e.g -- a D-Class mage isn’t going to be using a OMNI-class item anytime soon). Magical items with effects will be judged on a case-by-case basis; we’ll try our hardest to make sure things are as balanced as possible.
Mages that require items for their magic (holder, requip, celestial spirit) are able to get said items for free. However, these items cannot have an innate magical effect on them.

Special items are items that don't fall under the typical Item category; this includes things like Golden Celestial Spirit Keys, Dragon Lacrima, God Lexicons and Devil Marks.
GOLDEN CELESTIAL SPIRIT KEYS. Golden Celestial Spirit Keys are twelve extremely rare Celestial Spirit Keys, each named and designed after the symbols of the Zodiac. We use the canon Golden Key Celestial Spirits here. You must be at least B-Class in order to use these keys. A Celestial Spirit mage is able to claim one of these keys as their own for free so long as there are keys available. It is possible to obtain more golden Celestial Spirit keys so long as you have the jewels for it. However, in the case that you want a Golden Key already owned by someone, you are able to challenge them for rights of the key. You must first pay 7,000J before being allowed to initiate the challenge. Then, whomever you're challenging must accept your challenge, or they'll automatically forfeit their golden key. If you or the person you're challenging does not post within five days, that counts as a forfeit unless there's a reasonable explanation for the absence. After challenging someone for a Golden Key, you are unable to challenge anyone else for TWO weeks. Also, in any situation, after you gain a Golden Key, you cannot gain another for TWO weeks. These rules are subject to change.

SLAYER ITEMS. Dragon Lacrima, God Lexicons and Devil Marks are items that can be bought that allow you to make a Dragon Slayer, God Slayer or Devil Slayer even if there are no canon spots available. It is possible to make either an existing character a Slayer or to make a completely new character. Stacking these items on top of an existing one is not allowed. For example, if you are already a Dragon Slayer, you can't buy a Dragon Lacrima in order to gain a second Slayer magic; you can't buy a God Lexicon or a Devil Mark in this situation either. If you want to do that, Dual Element Modes is your answer. For Dragon Slayers, the Lacrima can be flavored to be either your character learning from the dragon of the element, having the lacrima implanted in them or both.

SPECIAL ITEM TEMPLATE.
Maybe you want a friend like an Exceed who has a Battle Mode or a mercenary who does your dirty work for you. Companions are basically pets, creatures or people who accompany you wherever you go and depending on the type of companion, they’ll be able to fight on your behalf. For companions that have no combat ability (Bronze-Grade), they are absolutely free. However, for those that can fight, you’re going to have to pay for them. A Companion’s rank is either one or two ranks lower than your own; however, a companion will never drop below D-Class. A Companion ranks up as you do depending on the grade. Silver-Grade Companions are treated three ranks lower than you; Gold-Grade Companions are treated two ranks lower than you; Platinum-Grade Companions are treated one rank lower than you. The maximum rank a Companion can ever reach is S-CLASS. Also, for battle-capable companions, they are able to have a magic type and spells of their own. However, they do not get access to secondary or tertiary magic. Each companion gets four starting abilities; they are able to acquire more abilities by buying Companion Abilities. The maximum number of abilities a Companion can have is TEN.
Dragons are not allowed to be companions.

Make sure to review the Magic Guide whenever you apply for spells. Secondary magic isn’t available until C-Class, and it must be purchased before it can be used. Tertiary magic isn’t available until S-Class and like secondary magic, it has to be bought first before it can be used. You are also able to change your primary magic if you so wish. It'll be free of charge; however, if we notice that you are changing magic types a lot, we have every right to deny your request.
Unison raids are spells that combine two different magics, whether they are from two different mages or a single mage using two magic types. An example of a unison raid would be combining water and ice magic into a ice-riddled tsunami or combining fire and wind to create a fire tornado.
