Geen Zuhacer walked through the peaceful Shirotsume Town with his hands hidden in his pockets and let out a yawn. On his way to stake out the job board as he had had been for the several days he had been staying here. With the influx of constant traveling wizards it was the right place to bottleneck the flow and spot anyone brandishing a possible magical sword.
Of course he had looked through the job leaflets himself, if he couldn't find anyone today with a sword he would most likely take one and then set out on his way from here. He had to eat too, and the possibility of larger crowds made finding one of his grandfather's swords more likely.
He sat down upon a bench outside on the street and leaned back in the shadowed area under an overhang from the building behind him. Geen’s eyed were glued to the board now, though he tried to keep himself inconspicuous. That's when he noted the girl with blue hair and a man with purple show up, actually the man looked familiar. It also appeared more were making their way towards the board too.

Shirotsume Town. A small settlement nestled in the mountainous valleys. The town was so small that it didn’t even get its own railway or train station, making travel to this place quite the trek for those without access to any vehicles. However, that was a good thing for the Slayer Ryder Frostridge and his companion Dashie. Being a Slayer and all, Ryder was easily prone to motion sickness upon boarding any non-organic mode of transportation. Trains, cars, motorcycles, boats, anything. If it moved, Ryder couldn’t make himself too acquainted with it without hurling up his lunch. Fortunately, that is where Dashie came in. If fast travel was needed, the small Exceed could, albeit reluctantly, sprout wings and fly into the air while carrying his partner around. It was a neat little system they had going on.
That was how the two made it to Shirotsume from the Oshibana. They were there mainly so that Ryder could pick up the latest volume of his favorite novel series, Toru Toru. It was an erotica/adult themed series based around the love interests of one man. He loved the series to much that he even carried a bag around with him full of every book in the series.
“You still owe me some damned fish.” The Exceed pouted, crossing his arms along his chest as he waddled beside his friend. The two were traveling through the main road that bisected Shirotsume Town. “Psh, whatever dude. I never promised.” Ryder held onto the sheath of his sword, keeping the weapon close to his body. Infuriated, Dashie jumped into the air, screaming his little head off. “Y-Y-You pinkie-swore!” The Slayer lifted his left hand, his index and middle fingers crossed. This only furthered Dashie’s anger, his lips opening wide once more to scold his partner some more. His advancements were blocked off by a thin, milky finger pressing against his face. It was Ryder’s.
His cold hues were staring straight ahead at two individuals standing before the local in. One looked to be female, and one looked to be male. Ryder’s eyes were specifically locked onto the blue-haired woman as his nostrils flared, the tip of his nose bouncing with each whiff he took. Dashie hovered in mid air, glancing back and forth between Ryder and the two. “Eh.. What’re you thin-.. No. No fuckin’ way! Dude, you’re just hallucinating now. There is absolutely no way you can meet three Slayers in a row.” Ryder’s eyes were snatched away from her for a moment, traveling to the Exceed by his side. “I don’t know she is for sure. It’s a hunch, like the last two. Either way, we need to scope this out.” Without giving Dashie a chance to reply, he pressed forth. “Blegh. Fine. But if you’re wrong, that is double the fish you owe me. And a night out with that bar maiden back in Clover Town.”
Stepping up right behind the two, Ryder made his presence known with a friendly tone; “Aye, “A Tangled Web”. Sounds spooky, but interesting. If ya two are looking to take this up, would you mind if me and my partner here tagged along? We’re kinda low on rent money, hahah.” He was lying right through his teeth. Him and Dashie didn’t even pay rent, and if they did, it would be a total waste of Jewels. They weren’t even at home half of the time. No, he wanted to get a chance to figure a few things out about this girl. The guy looked interesting as well, little scary though.
Dashie swerved up beside Ryder, resting his elbow against the Slayer’s should while assuming a kick-stand position in mid-air. He was looking directly at the woman, his lips curling into a devilish smile. “I hope it ain’t too much trouble, baby girl.”

Shirotsume Town. Surprisingly enough, Jaeger had never been here before. Despite all his years as a dirty vagrant, moving from place to place in search of cool monsters, good food, and grand adventures, he'd just never had an occasion to come up into the mountains like this. It didn't help that his motorcycle could only go so far up the mountain, and eventually had to be securely abandoned for the remained of the trip. Jaeger didn't mind the hike so much, but Poogie had fallen victim to the ravages of over-exertion and his own boundless laziness. As a result, Jaeger had ended up carrying the little pink pig for the last leg of their journey.
He was as ready as Rialle was to find a place to rest their tired feet and get a good meal in. He'd run out of eggs quite some time ago and hadn't packed anything else to eat, so his stomach was protesting at fairly regular intervals. Still, Jaeger remained ever stoic. He knew that complaining about it would only make him hungrier, and would probably just irritate his travelling companion. It was nice having company that could actually speak words for once. He loved Poogie with all his heart and soul, but it was hard to carry any real conversations on the road with the little guy.
Of course, Rialle had stopped at the job board. Jaeger had been planning on doing the same. They were freelance wizards after all, and needed to take the work where it came. To be honest, this was entirely the reason Jaeger had agreed to come on this little trip. He figured the jobs would be different in the mountains, and variety was the spice of life. Besides, he might run into some new monsters to study. He looked at the job that Rialle had chosen, but before he could say anything they were approached by another man and a...cat? Thing? Neat.
"I don't know about spooky," Jaeger said, memories of the mission he'd taken with Rialle in the East Forest flashing through his mind, "But it sounds like it could be pretty dangerous, especially if the spiders themselves are venomous. I've got no problem with a third if my friend here doesn't. Should be plenty of reward money to split between the three of us."
He looked at Rialle, and then back to Ryder. He chose to ignore the cat creature's overt flirtation with Rialle.
"I mean, as long as you're not some kind of creep or something."

A chilly wind whipped up in the street, and a glint sparkled in the air. Next thing anyone would know that job offer was pinned back to the board by a sword. It wasn't a normal blade and even someone not overflowing with magical knowledge would realize that this was a weapon of a magi. It looked like a grouped up bunch of feathers but metal and gleaming. The cool breeze that now calmed had definitely come from it. Sitting on a bench across the way, pressed back to the wall, his feet stretched out and spread wide in a lazy rest, a man was there. His hair was poofed out above and braided from sides to back. Black to a dim blonde, and his eyes of the sea stared at the mismatch group while they crowded around the job board. He wore a white top with one sleeve and a pink wrap with flowery designs depicting hibiscus entrossed around him. Geen jumped up back to his feet and out of the shade, hefting a large leather bag over his shoulder. The bag would appear to be full of many handles that stuck out from the open end in all sorts of shapes and sizes, if anyone would be tossing blades around it would be this guy. Geen Zuhacer had been staying in this city for two days now. This wasn't some unusual behavior for the man either, he had been performing this pattern for the last six months. He had mostly spent his time sitting in the inn he had shacked up in, or just walking around town. But his main focus was the job board, waiting for other wizards to make their appearance in search of cold hard cash. Some may ask why he wanted to stalk these talented folk, and the answer to that puzzle is their equipment might interest him. The dark skinned man stepped over to the companions and their pets, his pointed eyebrows raised slightly. His shoes clopped against the floor and stopped in between the blue haired woman and the familiar looking man, and this other fellow with the cat. He raised his head suddenly looking Ryder in the eye and Geen smiled warmly. “Hello. I don't mean to intrude, but I needed to speak with you.” Mr. Zuhacer adjusted his stance ever slightly bouncing to the other foot. “I didn't want to interrupt you when you would be eating, though I would have chosen to wait. See I was just getting comfy in my seat, but I guess it couldn't be helped.” His brow furrowed and his eyes glared at Ryder with turquoise intensity. “Would you please show me that sword you have there?” inquired the man before he held out his white gloved hand. “I would promise you I won't take it, but I cannot promise that.”
