[attr="class","staffposttitle"]RULES
[attr="class","staffpost"]001 • It’s the first and most common rule amongst people; be respectful and mature to your fellow members and staff. The community of any site runs on being kind and this should be common knowledge to everyone. Any and all problems between members should be handled by themselves and kept off the site and the cbox alike. We understand not everyone will get along - which is only natural - but handle your personal issues with tact and maturity.
• Use proper spelling and grammar to the best of your ability in all in-character posts done on the site. Perfection isn't something we expect but things must be literate and easy to understand. We all make mistakes and so long as we can understand what you’re writing you’ll be fine. Members must post a minimum of 150 words for IC posts. The occasional post with ten or less words below the minimum is fine however expect to get a pm from staff if it persists or becomes a constant.
• Due to Proboards ToS keep all role-playing to a PG-13 level however cursing, alcohol and drug references - and even character deaths that can be seen - are allowed on our site. This is to avoid any reports to Proboards as well as the possibility of the forum being taken down. Pornographic and explicit imagery, writing and material overall will result in an automatic ban and removal of content. Anything we feel borderlines breaking this rule will be asked to be taken down. We allow cursing (though nothing too excessive) and sexual content must stay in the range of kissing and suggestive contact (with no actual mention in detail just simply fade to black). If you wish to go into more detail, you must do so off site. This rule applies to PMs too since Proboards monitors those as well.
• One of the most obvious rules well known to anyone and everyone: don’t godmod, powerplay or simply bend rules in your favor; this is especially true for battles.
• Read everything written on the site. It’s the best way to get a strong grasp on what’s happening, what we allow and the like; it’ll also help many questions you may have. Re-read and keep up to date with all changes and staff related posts before asking questions; most of the time, the answers are already given.
• At the end of the day, staff's decision is final and should be respected. We try our best to consider all possibilities and make things even, fair and as much fun for everyone. Respectfully coming to us with concerns and questions are welcomed but that does not mean you may argue with us or comment on our choices.
• Another simple and common rule - don’t steal. That goes for taking content from the site that is not yours as well as bringing plagiarized or copy/paste work of others here. This also includes copying your own work from other sites or posts.
• While we understand that real life comes first we ask that members simply notify us of their approaching absence as soon as possible before leaving. It helps us know what’s going on - clear a few claims if directed so - and keep track of the overall activity of the site and its members. Staff will check activity every three weeks and dictate whether a character is active or not by if they have signed in and made an ic post within those three weeks. The exception being if said character(s) have been notified to be in a state of hiatus due to their members absent message.
• All rules are subject to change or have more added to the list at any time. Check staff announcements/ updates to be notified of these changes when they occur.
• Members are allowed a max of 3 characters and must meet the requirements before making a new character. Before you can app for your second/ third character the accounts before it must have a total of 30+ posts on their accounts. In addition you must wait at least one week after your previous characters acceptance. We will look at IP addresses to assure everyone follows this rule so keep that in mind. If you have other people living with you on the site that is using the same IP as yourself, make it a point to notify staff to address the issue before making multiple accounts.
• Keep graphics neat and pleasing to the eyes. We have a few different images. The large image located on the profile is 275x450, the account icon is 100x100 and the mini profile gif/image is 240x120. Keep signatures around 500x450 to avoid stretching the forum.
• Before placing your application in the notification thread remember to change your display name to your characters full name (exclude middle names).
• Only one character is allowed per account, if you're making a second character then do so on a separate one.
• Members have a week after posting up a WIP application to complete and post in the notification thread to be graded. If a week goes by and the application isn’t complete/ no post have been made to the notification thread than the app will be moved to archives.
• You may be in as many threads as you want so long as you can keep track, keep up and post actively in all of them. Try to avoid time paradoxes by being involved in too many threads at once, so remember to sort out a timeline before making new threads.
• Face Claims are mandatory and can be animanga style, game art or original art. If you're using original art, you must first get permission from staff to use your face claim of choice.
• Members may reserve a face claim they want to use for seven days. The member must reserve the FC with the account they'll be using for that character as well as have a wip app already up. Members can only reserve one face claim at a time and only once every month. If you do not complete your app by the time your reservation is up it will be considered first come first serve.
If you have any questions, concerns or issues pertaining to the site please direct them to the staff via pm. We will do our best to sort things out the best we can in a timely manner.
