Jaeger stood in front of the mirror at the tailor's, arms held up at a right angle to his body. The tailor measured his inseam uncomfortably, and Jaeger tried to look as nonchalant about it as possible. His pants were thrown over a nearby chair, along with his jacket and sarashi. Why this tailor had insisted on Jaeger being next to naked, he would never be able to figure out. Still, he found himself in a position that would require formal clothes now and again, and so he needed to visit a proper tailor and get some "real person's clothes", as he imagined an imaginary council secretary telling him. He wasn't having a great time.
"So when can I put my pants on?" he asked, trying to play it cool but having difficulty hiding his eagerness to hide his shame.
"Just a moment, I have to get my measurements exact. This tape measure is enchanted to be able to measure to the tiniest fraction of an inch, and will allow me to make you a garment that fits as perfectly as your own skin. When I'm done, you'll feel like you're wearing nothing at all...nothing at all."
"Okay yeah that sounds pretty hype."
Jaeger looked at Poogie, who was curled up around his boots and snoozing peacefully. God, he wished he was somewhere else. Anywhere else. He'd feed his dick through a magical wood chipper to get the hell out of here. That was when a beautiful, fuzzy, floppy-eared guardian angel came floating in through the window.
"Hoku? Oh thank god what are you doing here please tell me Rialle is in grave danger so I can put on my pants and go save the day"

“Thanks man, you take care.” Ryder smiled, reaching out to retrieve his sword from the man standing behind the counter. Him and his partner Dashie stood within Subeta, a rather famous shop known for its assortment of weapons and such. Whenever the Ice Slayer believed his katana could use a little tuning, he would bring it here. Every time he left with a smile on his face, satisfied with the work the man had done. It looked like a brand new sword every time. Leaving Jewels on the countertop, both Dashie and Ryder waved their final goodbyes before exiting the establishment and waltzing out into the streets of Shirotsume.
“He’s a nice guy, y’know? He never charges you full price for using that grindstone..” Dashie spoke, wrapping his paws around the two straps that circled his shoulders. He was a tad biased towards the man either way. He always had a nice fish ready for Dashie whenever the two would come in. That was partially due to his relations with the owner of the Ishoku bookstore in Oshibana.
Ryder stopped in the middle of the street, his vibrant hues grazing the horizon for the mission board. He would never come to Shirotsume without at least taking a gander at the board. “Yep. S’cause we’ve been going there for so long. Five years, now.”
“Are you really looking for the board again? We just got done with a mission.. Why do we have to go and do another? Can’t we ever get any rest?”
Ryder wanted to agree. It had been quest after quest with these two, traveling across Fiore in search of adventures. Sleep was a rarity for them, seeing as their missions almost always required overnight attention. How he would kill for a nice, cozy bed and a belly full of rum. But alas! An adventurer’s work was never completed. Besides, if wanted to gain more knowledge on all of these recent Slayers popping up, he couldn’t just hunker down inside of a tavern.
“Nope. No rest. Not until we-… Hey. Check that out.” Ryder lifted his sword, pointing the butt of his sheath towards a familiar woman draped in a mane of cerulean. Dashie sprout his signature wings and lifted himself into the air, craning his neck to see over the crowd. “H-hah! Is that Rialle? No way.”
Immediately, the kitten licked the pads of his thumbs, snaking them up underneath his cascading mop to glisten up his eyebrows. “Time for some pu- Dooofffhh!” With his goal set on grabbing some puh, Dashie started forward only to run right into Ryder’s sword.
“Mmm-mmm. Leave her be. We’re just going to find out what the hell she is doing here again. Don’t be a fuckin’ creep this time.”
The Ice Slayer didn’t give his companion a chance to retaliate as he was already off, briskly walking and shouldering his way through the crowd of civilians. As soon as he approached, he went to tap Rialle on her shoulder with his index finger, leaning down over her shoulder so that he could get a better look at the paper she was reading. “Whatcha reading?”

"Miss Addie? Ryder?" Addie and Ryder would recognize the familiar voice as belonging to the tall Jackal Beastman from that impromptu mission they took some days ago just rounding up the corner and looking at them with blinking eyes, though they quickly warmed with a friendly aura. "So it is you lot, I thought my ears were failing me just now." Nanashi was still adorned with his usual get up and finishing with his trademark staff as he softly padded towards the two of them, unconcerned with some of the stares he was receiving from the onlookers and passersby.
"How are you two holding up, if you don't mind me asking? Last time we spoke we fought those Krakens at the beach and those Devils back at the ranch..." Trailing off as he saw that they were looking at something the male focused on what it was and didn't like what he read, frowning deeply at the contents of the mission he said with an almost forlorn tone. "Druids... supposed protectors of nature performing such dark rituals... what path did they take to lead them to this moment." Closing his eyes and shaking his head sadly at the folly of man, the Beastman looked back at the two Slayers and nodded his head in acknowledgment. "Would you mind if I accompanied you lot on this mission? I figured that an extra pair of hands wouldn't be too bad."

"A dangerous mission? Awesome, count me in. Listen man," he said to the tailor, "I gotta run, but I'll be back to pi--hey wait NO"
Hoku grabbed him up mid-sentence and flew him out of the building. The only problem was that the little rabbit hadn't given Jaeger any time to get dressed, or even to try to get dressed. So, down the street he went in only his undershorts, shouting and squirming and hoping to got none of the people they passed recognized him as the new Chairman of the Magic Council. Meanwhile Poogie, one he was done laughing his little curly tail off, gathered up Jaeger's clothes and gave the tailor a little farewell "Rrnk!" before casually strolling out of the shop towards the board.
When Hoku placed Jaeger down, it was even worse than he'd thought. Rialle was one thing - they were friends, and she had come to expect this sort of tomfoolery from him. But it wasn't just Rialle. Standing in front of him were two other wizards - Ryder Frostridge, a man he'd worked with one before, and...that...sand guy. What was his name again? It was weird.
"Rialle! Ryder! Uh..S...N...Shanaynay? Was that it? So great to see you guys again I hear there's a very dangerous and urgent mission yes let's talk about the mission and only the mission yes that sounds good."

"Urgh..."
Elrica sleepily stared at the clock beside her bed, being miserable after yesterday's odd jobs. Let's say, being a spirit mage is nothing worse than being a mineral mage, because you always have to store your hard earned cash in order to save up money for your contract jewel. Somehow she wondered if being an elemental spirit mage is worse than actually being a Celestial Spirit Mage? Well, no problem. She ultimately just have to suck it up...
"...morning... screw my life."
Renier who currently laying beside her opened his eye slightly, muttering 'I tried to woke you up, but you didn't appreciate it to be woken up so early, so don't blame me'.
Quickly, she leaped out of the bed and do necessary action before going downstairs for breakfast. She guessed that no matter what, she still have to do odd jobs again... She cannot do any crazy ranked mission alone... not with Terra's ability equally divided between protective and offensive. She need to get another spirit as fast as she could. Her target might be the water, [Aqua] or the Wind, [Venti]. Fire might be hard, but [Ignis] is not a bad choice either. Now the problem is... What kind of tale that she's going to use next?
Elrica was completely out of it still when she arrived at the eateries part of the inn, while Renier once again decided to take a nap beside her. Her appearance still looking disheveled. Sleepily, she ate the toast she ordered. Ah, at time like this, how she wanted those agepan like doughnut and so on... Sweet doughnuts are love, but... Looking at her wallet wryly, Elrica let out a long, heavy sigh.
From the mission I done with Ria... only 500 Jewels remained. What is this sense of defeat? Ah, I wonder if I can---Huh...?
Her eyes slowly focused to... a man with purple pompadour, an... anubis, wait, what? No, that man feels like a spirit... another is... Ria? What is this high level party vibe!? Slowly, she covered her face with today's newspaper, hoping that at least she can... trick Ria to ignore her. She's already feeling huge sense of defeat over here... She said she's going to create a guild, but... if the members are high spec like that, she won't survive!

Chuckling softly underneath his breath the Jackal smiled at Rialle. "Yeah, I remember alright." Feeling eyes on them the Beastmen looked around casually, spotting a female that slowly used a newspaper to hide behind as she watched them with what seemed like alarm flashing on her face before it was hidden away. Narrowing his eyes slightly at the scene the Jackal focused back on his friends but then a familiar voice came from the distance and slowly getting closer to their location.
Turning around slightly so he could give Jeager his full attention, he had to do a small double-take when he saw that he was not wearing any sort of pants and instead merely had his undergarments on. "It's Nanashi." Said person admonished kindly with a blink of his eyes. "Is there a reason you're in your undergarments, Jaeger?" Feeling like a teaser the Beastmen grinned almost predatorily. "Forgive, I meant to say, Mister Chairman." He had heard of Jaeger suddenly becoming the Chairman of the Magickal Council some days ago, he couldn't believe the news when he heard them but here was Jaeger in all his 'glory'.

"Right, Shanaynay, that's what I said? Ah, fuck it - I'll just go with Sandstorm. I've been workshopping it for a little while and I was torn between that and Dunebeast but I didn't want it to be too close to Beast Fist - you don't wanna get the branding confused, you know? Sandstorm is way better. People will love that one." Jaeger nodded. He was very good at nicknames. "Oh, and I don't have pants because my pig is slow."
As if on cue, Poogie finally caught up, trotting happily to Jaeger, his pants held in the little piggies mouth. Jaeger's jacket was draped over Poogie's back, and his sarashi was trailing way, way behind like a stray piece of toilet paper. What a disaster. Jaeger shook his head and started to dress.
"And cut it out with the 'Mister Chairman' crap. Bad enough that I'm having a suit tailored for this gig, I won't have you people calling me by my title outside of the Council chambers."
As Rialle introduced her friend, Jaeger was securing his sarashi around his torso. He hadn't noticed her, considering she'd been hiding behind a newspaper. He nodded her way, signature grin on his face.
"Nice to meet you, Elly. I'm Jaeger. You joining us on this mission? By the way, Riptide, what IS this mission anyway? Hoku made it seem like some kind of catastrophe. I'm excited."

She heard someone called her name--well the only one who can call her name that familiarly is Ria in this shop afterall, plus, with Renier sleeping, he won't call her with such pitch. She tried to ignore it at first, despite jolted slightly at the sudden acknowledging call... well, another call. She really can't pretend anymore and lowered down her newspaper--only to be assaulted by sudden hug. She's not quite fond of hugs, so she put on her best poker face while muttering "tight". But regardless, the sarcastic girl stared up at the crew...
...first is the spirit... yes, that's a spirit. She knows that signature all too well for being a spirit contractor herself... that man, his name is Nanashi was it not? No name, that's an interesting choice for a name. Then she looked at... damn, she almost forgot that this guy was pantless for a while... and this guy was the head council? Funny world we live in. She smiled wrlyly between half closed eyelids... one left, but certainly there's four people including her now.
"Elrica," she introduced herself quickly, almost too quickly even. Maybe she should fix that. "Just a normal spirit mage with very empty wallet, at your service. Nice to meet you... Spirit Nanashi, Mr. Council Chairman Jaeger... and mission you said? What is it abou---"
She was actually feeling a bit happy because her wallet will be finally filled somehow... but... the mention of catastrophe made her reflexively strokes Renier's fur. Someone is excited for catastrophe class mission, fuck my life Elrica muttered under her breath.
"...Well, if my future guildmaster thinks so...? But I need to know what this entails before saying aye or nay, because it'll be dangerous if I'm the one who got buried and not the one who buries."

"I'm fine with it," Nanashi replied almost automatically once Rialle sends a questioning look his way, if they were friends of Rialle then it meant they were of the good sort, besides he had fought alongside Jaeger in the past and so far he hadn't felt any sort of negative aura around the man who could wield the power of animals. Speaking of the man he threw the male an amused look at his rambling, not even minding that his name was being butchered. "Sandstorm, eh?" It sounded like a good enough title or alias for a Sand Caster, though he already had his own title that he was known for from where he came from.
The Curator of the Sands.
He watched curiously as Rialle and Jaeger spoke with the strange girl who had been watching them behind her newspaper, wondering at the back of his mind how the two got to know her so since Rialle immediately went for a hug, then again that seemed to be the common norm between friends so perhaps he was just overthinking it.
"Nice to make your acquaintance, Elrica." Though his greeting was warm and friendly, internally the male was having a small panic attack when she said what kind of mage she was, and how she could feel what he was in reality. Feeling a lump form in his throat the male made sure to not reveal anything on his face and merely stood passive and reserved, though internally he wished desperately that Rialle and Jaeger wouldn't take notice of what she called him.
As they wondered about the mission description, he kindly told them in short what they were meant to do. "In essence, a group of druids has lost their ways, performing dark rituals around the land, and our objective is to stop them, find out what is their plan and if necessary, kill as many as we need to."
